Established artist and curator, Ivette Petri earned a graduate degree in Visual and Italian studies at University of Toronto. She specialized in Art History and photography at the University of Venice in Italy, where she spent a portion of her university career. While studying in Italy, Ivette completed internships at the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice, and contemporary galleries in Florence and Turin.
Ivette is a fine art and art history instructor, freelance curator and photographer. Between 2006 and 2008, Ivette was curator of Masterpiece Gallery, a fine commercial gallery on Queen Street in Toronto. There she curated 5 notable photography and fine art exhibits with a variety of contemporary artists who are vividly involved in the arts scene today. Her exhibits were featured in Corriere Canadese Newspaper and OMNI television. Some notable artists and promoters with whom she has worked include: Lorenzo Fracchetti, Germinio Politi, Corrado de Luca, Jiri Vondrak, Alex Du, Nasko Pell and Ivo Stoyanov.
